Basically...

My name is Koleen Krey and im 17 years old. I'm creative and passionate when it comes to my art. I am a perfectionist and can't look back at my art twice because then I will point out all its flaws and it will take weeks, months, or years to complete. I don't really enjoy looking back at the work i've created in the past because it's not my best work and it's not perfect but i'm glad I have a portfolio to show how much i've improved over the years.

One memory that I enjoy sharing is when I was in fifth grade, our assignment was to created a comic book for a fun end of the year project. I remember being so excited and I worked so hard on making this project my best, at at the time it was. At the end I was so proud of myself for what I created and I wanted to show everyone what I have done. Even though those few drawings I made for the comic book are nothing to me today, I still enjoy the thought of how proud and happy I was of my art.

I've been intersested in art ever since I was really little. All my life i've mostly worked to perfect my drawings and every now and then i'll jump out of my comfort zone to work with other materials then just a pencil. I've worked with many differnt mediums such as: Water color, acrylic, oil, oil pastels, pencil, charcol, clay, chalk, colored pencils, you name it and i've done it.

I took photoshop sophmore year at Norcross High, it was more of an eye opening experience because I was so used to using pencil and paper instead of a computer screen. Junior year I moved back up to Illinois to live with my dad and senior year of high school I took graphics. I love how I am able to draw uo my ideas on paper and make them come alive whether it's on a t-shirt or viynl. 

Besides art...

Other than art, I don't really do much. If I'm not doing anything artistic, I usually play video games, and listen to music. I will tolerate any type of music, but my all time favorite type of music is dubstep. 

Some of my interests (besides art) would include:

South Park, Video games, Dubstep, Basketball, Wolves, and other animals

At 5 I was in ballet but quite because i didnt like it anymore. At 13, I joined hockey and really enjoyed being rough and playing against the boys.
